Three Bandcamp Fridays left in 2026

The platform waives its revenue share for a midnight-to-midnight window eight times this year. Three of those days are still ahead: 2 October, 6 November and 4 December.

On a Bandcamp Friday, Bandcamp waives its revenue share for a full day, in its own words: "On Bandcamp Fridays, we waive our revenue share fee during each fundraiser window to support artists and labels." The window runs "from midnight to midnight PDT", and transaction fees still apply, because the payment processor still has to be paid.

The remaining 2026 dates

Bandcamp announced eight dates for 2026 in a blog post on 3 December 2025, saying it was "adding more Bandcamp Fridays next year, bringing the total to eight", and that these days had "contributed more than $150 million to independent musicians". The dates already gone were 6 February, 6 March, 1 May, 7 August and 4 September.

What is actually saved

Bandcamp's normal digital fee is 15 per cent, falling to 10 per cent once you pass $5,000 in sales. Physical goods are 10 per cent. So a Bandcamp Friday saves you 10 to 15 per cent, not the 20 to 30 per cent that gets claimed. On €500 of sales that is €50 to €75.

The larger effect is not the fee. It is that a published date gives you a reason to ask, which is the thing most independent artists find hardest.
